Valentine's Handmade Market: 13 February
It's going to be our very first Handmade Market for 2010, so we're really excited it's also coinciding with Valentine's Weekend!!
For those busy people & late shoppers amongst us... this will be the perfect opportunity to get that special handmade item for your loved one!! (But hey, it'll still be a fab market for those of us who are single too ;)) We chose for an intimate atmosphere of 7 local artists & designer-makers in our indoor market space, as well as offering you the work by another 7 artists for sale in our shop. Artist Julia Wykes creates beautiful embroidered textile accessories and jewellery, which are all handmade with care and therefore each item is unique. Eiriel’s Eclectics
An unusual mix of eclectic jewellery which includes chainmaille, pearl and sterling silver unique that make fantastic gifts for those you love or for yourself after a hard week! All lovingly made by Megan Lewis. Affinitie Aromatherapy
Handmade Aromatherapy Products (home, body and beauty products) created with therapeutic-grade essential oils, organic paraben-free bases and lots of love. Creator Katie Southall will have a small kit with her on the day to make bespoke products at the stall for customers with specific requirements. Gosia Weber - Bags Handmade
Designer-Maker Gosia Weber makes original, one-off leather, faux leather and fabric bags and other custom items, by hand, from her own designs. She also does amazing custom orders, where you can arrange your own colour combinations and textures, so you're always assured of the perfect accessory! Helen Woodward Jewellery
Helen's delicate jewellery comprises solid silver fluttering butterflies, curled petal flowers and delicate hearts imprinted with lace. Each of these elements are unique, as Helen individually fires each piece by hand.
Some of her silver pieces are combined with vintage elements dating back to the 1920's and 30's whilst others are adorned with pearls or crystals. Michelle Parker
